The Rose and the Rosa

Identical twins, destined for different paths.

The elder sister is breathtakingly beautiful, gentle, and self-disciplined. She loves Gu Changqing as if walking on thin ice.

In public, she is the flawless, gentle lover. Her heart is filled with years of sorrow, and only in front of Zhao Yining dares she reveal every broken piece of herself, without pretending at all.

The younger sister is stunning, wild, and forthright. She has never cared to imitate her sister in the slightest.

She openly favors Gu Changqing, boldly going after him every time. She never resorts to schemes, yet never earns so much as a glance from him.

She seems defiant and carefree, but in truth she loves him so deeply she has made herself small. Her obsession lies buried deep, and she has never truly let go.

Gu Changqing loves only the elder sister, but he has never understood her hidden pain and desolation.

When he sees her entrusting someone else with all her vulnerability, he forces her to choose between them.

The elder sister loves him deeply, but she can no longer endure a lifetime of pretending.

She chooses freedom and painfully walks away.

Years later, they meet again. The young man's features are unchanged, though his face is marked by hardship.

He never understands why they parted,

while the younger sister's grand, fearless love ultimately wins her nothing but an unnoticed, unrequited devotion.
