Work Hard! If You Don't, How Am I Supposed to Top the Imperial Exams?

Lin Yuanxi was born into a family of farming scholars.

His grandfather and eldest uncle had spent decades studying, yet had never accomplished anything.

In the end, his family decided to pin their hopes on the next generation and have his cousin give it a try too.

In his previous life, Lin Yuanxi had been the top student in his province's college entrance exams, completed both his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at Peking University, and passed both the national and provincial civil service exams.

He'd spent his entire life competing, right up until the day he died, without ever getting a moment's rest.

And now he had to do it all over again?

But if he didn't study, he had no chance of getting ahead. So what could he do?

No problem. He had the [God-Tier Anti-Grind System].

[Within range, the Host automatically acquires the knowledge currently being studied by their competitors. The harder the competitors work, the greater the percentage of knowledge acquired! Based on the number of competitors in range, the following buffs are available.]

[Sharp Senses / 5 people]

[Clarity and Insight / 50 people]

He'd let everyone else grind while he lay flat.

The harder everyone else worked, the more comfortably he could lie back.

County exams, prefectural exams, academy exams, provincial exams, metropolitan exams, palace exams...

The difficulty kept rising, and more and more grinders joined the competition.

But Lin Yuanxi's results grew ever more astounding, and his reputation soared!

Go ahead and grind! Work yourselves to the bone!

If you don't grind, how will I make the honors roll?
