The Old Case on Mist Island

Twenty years ago, five young friends set out together to explore an island, but all of them vanished in a sudden, dense fog. Fog Island became a lonely place, forgotten by the modern world. The ancient Shen family mansion stood like a silent tomb, concealing the truth behind the five friends’ disappearance. Lu Chen, an investigative reporter, received an anonymous letter bearing just one sentence: The Shen family mansion on Fog Island. The third body is hidden inside the wall. To uncover the cold case that had been buried for twenty years, Lu Chen went to the island alone. Strange sounds echoed through the mansion, ghostly shadows appeared and vanished in the fog, and the bones hidden inside the walls, the diary left by one of the missing, and the mysterious marks beside a dry well all drew him closer to the truth. As his investigation deepened, Lu Chen discovered that the disappearance had been no accident, nor had it been the work of an outsider. The real culprit had long since blended in among the survivors. And the anonymous letter had not been sent to reveal the truth, but to lure him back into the game. It was never the bodies that were trapped in the fog, but the living.
