The Chen Guowei Undercover Series follows the career of Chen Guowei, captain of the Flying Tigers, spanning more than twenty years before and after Hong Kong’s return to China. The story begins with an undercover assignment at Shengyu Secondary School, where Chen infiltrates the campus as a student to investigate a loan-sharking network. With the help of his math teacher, Lin Jiayi, he goes from scoring zero to passing, gradually becoming a seasoned undercover agent who can handle things on his own. He later infiltrates the He Sheng He triad, matching wits with its strategist, Ghost Master, and exposing a network of moles within the intelligence bureau. While tracking down the remaining followers of Mr. Shu, he dismantles a cross-border drug supply chain and a prison network. At last, he brings Mr. Shu, the mastermind at the top of the criminal network, to justice at a villa in Poipet, Cambodia.
