After graduating from university, Gu Qianqian quits her job without notice and ends up unemployed. To keep her parents from worrying, she still leaves early and comes home late every day, wandering around to kill time. Along the way, she meets Zheng Haoyu, a fellow unemployed returnee, as well as the jobless Yang Ke and Qin Zhigang. Every worker has their own troubles, and every unemployed person has their own misfortunes. The four jobless drifters get together and pretend to go to work every day, and their lives are filled with bitterness and confusion, along with one absurd, funny episode after another.
