A conspiracy by foreign forces sent Wang Feng, a leading figure in China's engineering and technology sector, back to 1977.
That very day, he was caught in bed with someone in his previous life. A girl had plucked up the courage to confess her feelings to him, but he ran away.
Unexpectedly, his childhood sweetheart was pulled out of the river moments later. She was gone...
From then on, he spent his life burdened by guilt.
When he opened his eyes again and raced over, hoping to save his childhood sweetheart, he discovered that she hadn't jumped into the river. She had been murdered...
After saving her, he set out to win her heart all over again, vowing never to let her down in this life.
His childhood sweetheart was poor, had no standing in the commune, and was bullied by everyone. His brothers and sisters were destitute, too.
So he picked up the skills of an educated man and set out to make a fortune, then take the college entrance exam...
For his childhood sweetheart and his family, he would carve out a dignified life in this humble, impoverished era!
