In her previous life, Song Yu endured four years of humiliation under the name of a virtuous wife and mistress, only to be neglected by her scumbag husband, bullied by his scheming concubine, and left with her family ruined. She was sold to a brothel and finally jumped into a river to end her life... Reborn, Song Yu vows to tear apart the villains and thrash her scumbag husband. She will also support a promising son born to a concubine until he rises to become a powerful minister, then make a grand spectacle of destroying the entire Zhao Marquis household that betrayed her!
Side Story 1:
The Zhao family's despicable lot knelt before Song Yu. "Young Madam, please spare us! Save the Marquis household! Punish us however you like, just leave us a way to live..."
Before Song Yu could speak, Zhao Zhitang said in a cool, detached voice, "How about we execute those who beg for mercy, and subject those who don't to death by a thousand cuts?"
Song Yu smiled faintly. "Now that even the emperor listens to you, how could I refuse?"
Zhao Zhitang nodded. "Thank you for agreeing, my lady!"
In a single night, a raging fire reduced the Zhao household, once a den of vice and corruption in her previous life, to ashes...
Side Story 2:
Song Yu finally obtained a divorce letter from Zhao Rui and escaped the Zhao Marquis household, now nothing but ruins. Hooves sounded behind her as her husband's elder brother, Zhao Zhitang, galloped up with a procession of betrothal gifts behind him.
Zhao Zhitang: "The Marquis of the Zhao household has come to ask for the hand of the eldest daughter of the Song family! Song Yu, don't go!"
Song Yu: "You said you'd help me get divorced. What is all this supposed to mean?"
Zhao Zhitang: "I only ever promised to help you divorce Zhao Rui. I never said I couldn't marry you! Miss Song, I've wanted to marry you for years..."
