Word has it that the Xu family adopted a three-year-old girl said to have the fate of a lucky koi, able to grant anyone's every wish.
But then...
On Mumu's first day with the Xu family, the Second Young Master was sent to prison.
On her second day, the Third Young Lady was beaten on a livestream.
On her third day, the Fourth Young Master was hit by a car and sent flying.
Only then did the Xu family realize that Mumu's so-called lucky koi fate was actually that of the world's only black koi, one that brings people nothing but bad luck!
The Xu family treated Mumu as an ill omen, locked her in the basement, and tried to starve her to death.
Just as the little girl was on the brink of death, the Li family adopted her.
The whole city was in an uproar. Everyone was waiting to laugh at the Li family for adopting a black koi.
But they never expected...
The building newly constructed by the eldest brother and heir collapsed by accident, only to reveal an oil field!
The actor second brother broke his leg saving Mumu, and accidentally missed the fatal flight!
The scientist third sister's laboratory was bombed, but she unexpectedly synthesized a new drug to fight cancer!
The frail fourth brother recovered his health with Mumu's help.
The hot-tempered school bully fifth brother became Mumu's loyal guard dog...
With Mumu's "bad luck" helping them, the Li family's powerful yet tragic members were thriving!
Meanwhile, next door, the Xu family, who claimed to have adopted a true lucky koi, was gradually descending into the abyss with the true koi's help...
