[Substitute marriage + married first, love later + devoted couple + all kinds of husband-flirting] [Clear-headed, pleasure-seeking princess + obsessive, deeply devoted prince] On the day she takes her sister's place in the marriage, she takes one look at the Underworld Prince and wants him for herself. The two hit it off, and once the imperial decree granting their marriage arrives, she has even more leverage to take down the scoundrels. Scoundrel father: “Your mother didn't leave behind any money at all.” She bangs a gong and shouts in the street. Even the emperor helps her reclaim her mother's dowry, leaving her scoundrel father and his family with nothing! Her white-lotus cousin still has designs on the Underworld Prince: “Brother Underworld Prince is mine.” She digs up her cousin's origins. “Guess what? You're the child my father had with my second aunt while they were having an affair. What does that make you?” Her path is smooth all the way: she wipes out her own family and steals the prince's silver. But in the end, she discovers that the most devious one of all is the Underworld Prince. When she kills, he hands her the knife. When she buries the bodies, he digs the pits. They agreed to divorce once he took the throne, but instead he wraps an arm around her slender waist and tells her, “In this life, the next life, and forever after, I will love only Jiu Fang Yuan and marry no one but Jiu Fang Yuan.”
