Clouds in Disarray

After Jing Yun successfully avenges herself, she barely has time to catch her breath before her former boyfriend buys her as a servant.

“Your Ladyship wants her freedom. What gives you the right to stop me?”

Dou Ruyu grips his sword tightly. “This general bought you for fifty taels of silver. If you want your freedom, earn fifty taels to buy it back first.”

Jing Yun doesn’t take the petty man seriously. She finds another way to win her freedom and heads off to make her own way in the world.

But the overbearing General Dou comes after her.

Mother: “Daughter, Xiao Dou is such a good man, and you’re not getting any younger. Marry him already.”

Older sister: “Little sister, General Dou has suffered so much. Why not give in?”

Younger brother: “Sister, your brother-in-law is a wonderful man. You won’t find another like him, so don’t let him get away!”

Niece: “Auntie, General Dou is so handsome, and so many people have asked me to deliver their love pouches to him. Why don’t you want him?”

Jing Yun: “Men, huh. Men only slow down how fast I make money. Get as far away from me as you can.”
