Fu Qingchu thought Situ Ce had pulled her out of the Jiaofang Bureau because he wanted her as a strategist. She worked diligently and did a fine job, helping him expose corrupt officials in the Eastern Palace and win over the commander of the Imperial Guards. She even took on the tasks that could get a person killed or make enemies.
The scheming Prince of Jin tried to recruit her, only for her to discover that Situ Ce was the one who'd been plotting all along. Even her family's conviction for rebellion had countless ties to him.
His ministers wanted her dead, and so did his white moonlight. What could she do? Take them all with her, of course. Situ Ce should thank her.
Fu Qingchu: "How will you thank me?"
Situ Ce: "I'll let you sit on the chair in the Hall of Diligent Governance."
Fu Qingchu: "Oh, thank you so much."
The first praise comes from me. I give it to the Prince. He is the best emperor in my writing, bar none. She was the most determined and intelligent heroine in the early Qing Dynasty, bar none.
