A family living with leukemia.
A family originally from Bozhou, Anhui, who worked for years in Nanjing, Jiangsu, and finally bought a house, only to be diagnosed with leukemia before they could spend even a single day in their new home.
A family where the daughter witnessed her father's infidelity, leaving an unusual gulf between father and daughter.
With illness looming, they are grateful for the benefits of the New Rural Cooperative Medical Scheme and experience the true warmth and coldness of human nature. Told from the relatively complex perspective of Yu Nian, a seventeen-year-old girl, this story recounts the last five months of her father's life. In the end, she reconciles with her father and with herself, then gathers up her grief and carries the warmth forward, continuing on without stopping.
In an era when fast food literature is rampant, this is a rare and thoughtful work. The plot of the story is compact, not procrastinating, and can touch the deepest things in readers' hearts. In the last days of his father's illness, the changes in his father are described through Xiao Nian's vision, as well as the detailed description of the visit of his uncle and cousin Xiao Tang, which evokes a dull pain in the reader's heart, and then bursts into tears. The later extra chapters are a bit redundant, and the text ends at his father's funeral. It would be more meaningful for readers to retain the emotions at that moment. My humble opinion.
When did living to old age become a blessing? If you are ordinary and have no disease and no disaster, you will win, but there are countless people in the world.
I cried through the last 30%, feeling that it was my story. In 2017, my father passed away from gastric cancer. It took a month and a half from the time he had stomach pain and was hospitalized in the emergency room until his death. During that month and a half, some people in the village made sarcastic remarks, while others ignored him because it had nothing to do with him. We just hoped that he would survive, even if his health was not in good condition. A tall man like him went from 150 pounds to less than 100 pounds. In the end, I really didn't dare to look at him, for fear that I would cry in front of him. I really dreamed about him frequently at first, but now I haven't dreamed about him for a long time. I miss him very much.

I could go on writing about the touching realistic themes and the joys and sorrows of ordinary people, but it felt like it stopped suddenly.
This book made me cry at the end. The book tells the story of the last few months of a family suffering from leukemia, and provides an in-depth understanding of how human nature is not black and white. Yu Nian, a 17-year-old girl, was unable to get out of the shadow of witnessing her father's affair. She even indulged herself in studies, causing her grades to plummet and she was trapped in resentment. In the last period of her father's life, she finally reconciled with her father and herself, healed herself, and opened a new chapter in her life. The psychological journey of an adolescent girl, the delicate description of emotions, the interpretation of family ties, and finally the importance of studying hard and struggling to fulfill her father's dying wish before the college entrance examination are all worth reading carefully. The article's popularization of social security for rural residents is also a publicity for national policies, reminding urban residents to pay attention to social security cards, and the state's promotion and encouragement of adult re-education to improve academic qualifications, which are all positive forces in society. I really like this book. Some of the plots made me cry. The heroine's inner journey is really close to reality and touches the emotions of most people. Well worth reading.
This kind of father is the most hateful. If he were in good health, he would never care about his wife and children. I was very angry at the beginning of this movie.
I read it in one sitting and couldn't help but burst into tears at the end. A serious illness can fully understand the warmth and coldness of human relationships in the world...
Well, I just watched Hu Chi Hai Drink, so let me show it to you.
It's very interesting to read, but for me, I couldn't say a word for a long time after reading it. The author's writing is more realistic, and he also writes about the hearts of leukemia patients and their families. It's heartbreaking to watch.
