Enlightenment in the Three Kingdoms

After transmigrating in The World of Martial Heroes, Chen Yong transmigrates once again, this time into the body of Liu Yong, a kinsman of the Han imperial family in the Eastern Han dynasty's final years. Rescued by the Taoist Zuo Ci, he is able to return to life in another body thanks to a luminous pearl pendant. Later, he escapes Lu Bu's pursuit with the help of Zuo Ci's invisibility technique!

Zuo Ci wants to pass his Taoist arts on to Chen Yong, but Chen Yong is burdened by a deep blood feud and a lifelong bond with Ren Hongchang, so he refuses to cultivate the Way. Zuo Ci also divines that Chen Yong has an extraordinary background, and agrees to lend him a hand.

Chen Yong and Liu Xing first rescue Gongsun Zan, who has been besieged by Zhang Chun, Qiu Juju, and others at Guanzi City in western Liaoning. They plan to strike north against the Wuhuan and train elite troops there. But when Chen Yong discovers, while campaigning on the battlefield, that the wolf-hearted Gongsun Zan has deceived him, he angrily walks away, still with no one but Liu Xing at his side.

At the behest of Liu Yu, Governor of Youzhou, Chen Yong rushes to Chang'an to rescue Emperor Xian of Han, Liu Xie, who has been taken hostage by Dong Zhuo. Meanwhile, Situ Wang Yun is using his adopted daughter Diaochan in a beauty trap to drive a wedge between Dong Zhuo and Lu Bu. Only after arriving in Chang'an does Chen Yong discover that Diaochan is none other than his fiancee, Ren Hongchang!

Heartbroken, Chen Yong endures humiliation and hardship for the sake of the Han dynasty. In the end, he joins Lu Bu in eliminating Dong Zhuo, the traitor who has brought ruin to the country. Just as Emperor Xian is about to reward Chen Yong, he learns of Chen Yong's imperial lineage...

After Ren Hongchang dies, Chen Yong sees through the ways of the world and turns to cultivating the Way. Will he still do everything he can to protect the Han dynasty...
