Is thinking the resolution of doubt?
We ask questions because we’re puzzled. Once we have questions, we think through the answers, then choose the one among them that convinces us most.
In his book The Righteous Mind, renowned psychologist Jonathan Haidt offers a vivid metaphor for our rational thought and inner drives.
An elephant and its rider. The elephant represents our emotions and subconscious. It is incredibly powerful, but often acts unwisely. The rider represents our reason, thoughts, and beliefs. Holding the reins, the rider can direct the elephant to turn, stop, or move forward.
But the rider can only guide the elephant when the elephant is willing. If the elephant has desires of its own or simply refuses, the rider is too small to do anything about it.
Perhaps only when reason and emotion work together can we live wisely and freely.

Strictly speaking, my discussion with it does not solve the actual problem. Everyone is talking about some weird and meaningless topics, and there are endless sophistry.
But are these important?
Isn't this life? No matter how magical, silly, or unrealistic the topic itself is, you must fight for it with all your strength. Because there is no way out, all you can do is suppress all your own ideas and use all methods to rationalize the unreasonable things.
Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?
But isn't the difficulty debate ubiquitous?

There are three ways to win.
