Immortal Spirits’ Rite in the Apocalypse

The apocalypse has arrived, and the world has changed. It all stems from one man, Qin Shi Huang, and one formation: the “Immortal Spirit Sacrifice and Annihilation Formation.” Seeking eternal life, Qin Shi Huang insisted on cultivating immortality. But for reasons unknown, spiritual energy on Earth gradually dwindled, leaving human cultivators unable to reach the legendary Deity Transformation stage and break through the gates of the immortal realm. The First Emperor somehow obtained the “Immortal Spirit Sacrifice and Annihilation Formation.” It uses the land of an entire world as its furnace, three thousand years of spiritual energy as its foundation, and humans, demons, and immortals (cultivators) as sacrificial offerings to make a plea to Heaven and Earth. Once complete, the formation can draw spiritual energy from the immortal realm into this world, opening its gates and allowing its cultivators to regain the chance to ascend. On the day the formation was activated, plants produced a strange spore that could infect humans and turn them into “Purifiers,” neither human nor tree. Eighty percent of humanity was infected, and the Purifiers began a great purge of all life that was not plant-based. Of course, plants were not the only things to mutate. Animals underwent unimaginable changes too, and humans regained the ability to cultivate immortality. How will He Ximing, a lowly human cultivator, face this upheaval of Heaven and Earth?
