Martial Talismans at the Door: Beginning with the Great Sun Vajra

“I keep telling you, cultivation isn’t a dinner party where everyone takes turns being polite. At its heart, cultivation is survival of the fittest: what you have, I don’t. It’s the brutal plunder of one domain by another, and the competition among cultivators of all realms for the fortune of the myriad worlds!” Artifact refiners use the living beings of an entire realm as weapons, summoning ten thousand arms with a single thought. Puppet masters refine puppets into immortals and build puppet courts where all beings chant the name of their god. Talisman painters depict mountains, rivers, lakes, and seas with one stroke; all creation with the second; and with the third, a Great Sage who battles heaven and earth, riding a seven-colored cloud. Su Qing began as a country bumpkin, then set out to compete with the geniuses of the myriad worlds. With martial force, he fishes for whales, banishes dragons, slays gods and exterminates immortals. A martial artist makes others submit through sheer strength! With the Dao, he breathes in the essence of nature and drinks its dew, attaining longevity and freedom. A cultivator of the Dao lives at ease, unbound by the world! With talismans, all techniques become talismans, and talismans can perform all techniques. Talisman masters stand head and shoulders above the rest! “I keep telling you, cultivation isn’t about fighting and killing. It’s about human relationships and worldly wisdom. I’ve lived for so many years and taken in so many disciples, spreading martial arts throughout the heavens and selling talismans across the myriad worlds. I don’t care about empty fame, yet everyone calls me the Martial Saint and Ancestor of Talismans, a kindhearted man.”
