The Man in Charge of the Great Qing

If you transmigrated back to the Qing dynasty, how would you earn your first stake for starting a rebellion?

Glass? Perfume? Cement?

None of those.

Li Yu, a failed art student, earned his first stake with a hand-drawn nude.

The Qing court was brutal: it dared to kill, plunder, extort, and twist the truth.

The people were meek: they could endure, put up with abuse, be bullied, and numb themselves to reality.

Li Yu had no choice but to rely on people from the underworld.

Reform the Canal Gang and build a business in Jiangnan.

Once his forces were strong enough, he would lead his troops north.
