The Canglan Emperor's Consort

"A whip, a durian, or a washboard. Pick your punishment, my dear consort."

"..."

"Smile for me, darling. I'll accept any punishment you give me."

"..."

"Say something to me, darling. Tell me where to kneel, and I'll kneel there."

"..."

In his previous life, the refined and aloof Lord had made one mistake: he lost the girl he loved. In this life, he lowered himself, pleaded, and gave in to everything. He treated her as if she might break if he held her too tightly or melt if he cherished her too much, spoiling her beyond all reason. In short, he would do absolutely anything to win back the heart of the woman he loved.

His nine guards stared in astonishment. "What happened to being noble, domineering, powerful, cold, and merciless?"

The Lord's answer: "I save being cold, merciless, domineering, and powerful for everyone else. When it comes to the consort I cherish most... well, I only take charge in bed."
