The Lord Is an Undercover Agent

Many years later, when Xifeier sees the throne of the God of Gods burning in flames,

he will surely remember that distant afternoon when he became the Lord of Hell.

“But I'm an angel undercover among the devils of Hell!”

“My first goal is to ruin my territory and make a run for it!”

“One of my strategies is to summon players: unruly, lawless chaos fiends who demand extra perks, kill a couple of NPCs whenever they're bored, and draw pay without doing any work...”

“And so they came: top streamers, lucky jackpot winners, rich players, the reborn, transmigrators, agents from the Paranormal Affairs Bureau, the Lord of the Nine Hells, cats...”

[Though the opening might give that impression, this isn't an unconventional ‘lose money to get rich’ story.]
