Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio: I Serve as a Censor in Heaven

Hua Zhengyou traveled from the apocalypse to the primordial world, determined to pursue the Great Dao and keep a low profile until she achieved immortality. In the first month of her cultivation journey, she slew a witch at Tianqiao Mountain and set foot on the path to immortality in the primordial world. In the second month, she heroically rescued a beauty in Chaozhou City and gained a proud, aloof big cat. In the third month, she punished the wicked and eradicated evil in Huayang Cave Heaven, then entered Hanzhen Palace… Before long, Hua Zhengyou was recommended for a post and became a celestial official in Heaven, roaming between the Three Realms. Her first assignment was to clean up Chixian Shenzhou and, while she was at it, take good care of a certain big cat. Hua Zhengyou, righteous on the surface but scheming underneath, declared: “That’s no problem!” The big cat huffed. “Big words!” Under Hua Zhengyou’s leadership, the oppressed demons, ghosts, and mortals rose up against tyranny, punished evildoers, and pursued freedom, immortality, personal independence, and everlasting fame! When busy, she upheld justice on Heaven’s behalf, killing ghosts and slaying gods. In her free time, she burned incense, cooked, lured bees, and coaxed cats. Along the way, she kept rising through the ranks until she became one of the Jade Emperor’s most trusted aides.
