The Imperial Exam: You Asked Me to Take the Exam for Someone Else, and I Became the Top Scholar?

Gu Mo, a double PhD in literature, history, and economics, transmigrates into the body of a seven-year-old child in the Great Liang dynasty. His family is being pressured by the old clan leader into performing corvee labor, while the clan members stand by and watch. His father is about to have his legs broken, his grandfather is on the brink of death, and the entire family is about to be driven from the clan into a mountain ravine...

The clan's old rules forbid its members from studying? Then what is the third elder's grandson sneaking around doing? Gu Mo plays the part of a little child and blocks his way, demanding twenty taels and temporarily solving his family's troubles.

Gu Mo wants to study? They demand that he earn enough for the Four Treasures of the Study in a single day. So he seeks out the wealthy young master Xie Chengyue. After a contest, he easily gets what he wants and even gains a business partner.

Someone tries to trip him up on the imperial examination road? No big deal. He expected it.

Gu Mo plans every step and clears every obstacle, ultimately placing third in the palace examination. As an official, he serves the people and offers everything he knows and has learned to the dynasty.

The entire clan kneels and begs his family to return to the genealogy.

Gu Mo waves a hand: "I'll start a separate family genealogy!"
