The Wild Rose Cannot Be Tamed

Getting back together | Secret identity revealed | The ex-wife’s long road to winning him back | Both leads are devoted to each other | Pretending to be weak while hiding one’s strength Three years after their breakup, Jiang Li lands at Song Zhiyan’s law firm by a twist of fate. The aloof former top student launches an all-out offensive to win her back. He plays the victim to earn her sympathy, bickers with her to rekindle their memories, plans surprises to move her, tries to tempt her with his body, and even uses his position as her boss to pressure her. He will do anything to drag her back to his side. Jiang Li remains unmoved, going out every day with her latest matchmaking date. What Song Zhiyan never could have imagined was that the person he had repeatedly told his younger brother to treat well was Jiang Li. Then one day, a faded photograph slips from Song Zhiyan’s book. The date is clearly written on the back. Only then does Jiang Li realize that all those years ago, when she pursued him relentlessly and threw herself into loving him, it had all been a carefully laid, tender trap set by a man who had fallen for her at first sight. A little scene: Song Zhiyan and Jiang Li fall out again because she still refuses to take him to meet her parents. “Jiang Li, do you really think I can’t live without you?” Jiang Li turns her face away. “Counselor Song, you have no shortage of admirers. You really don’t need to fixate on me.” “Fine.” Song Zhiyan slams the door on his way out and leaves her with a threat: “If I ever come looking for you again, I’m a dog.” Late that night, Jiang Li is sleeping soundly when a warm, damp sensation suddenly wakes her. Somehow, Song Zhiyan has sneaked in and is holding her face as he kisses her gently. “Didn’t you say you’d be a dog if you came looking for me again?” In the darkness, he gives a low laugh and nuzzles her cheek, his voice husky with indulgence. “Don’t you always call me your dog of a man?” “Woof…”
