Our Youth Was at Its Best That Year

This is the absurd yet legendary story of four college students who set out to make their fortunes in Shenzhen.

Naturally open-minded but inclined to be cautious, Fan Yiran was a poor student when he first settled in Shenzhen, wearing a pair of sneakers until they fell apart. Xiao Yue, impulsive by nature but unable to make up his mind, was a reckless dreamer who went all in on scratch-off lottery tickets. Wei Yuan, reserved and taciturn but shrewd, was a gofer at a company. Xu Wei, warm and outgoing but hopelessly romantic, was a young woman who longed for love and dreamed of a simple family life.

They transformed from hippies into yuppies.

They held on to themselves in Shenzhen, yet lost themselves along the way...
