Cloud Mirror, Heavenly Marsh

When ecosystems thrive, civilization flourishes. This is an issue of our time, one that will benefit the present generation and generations to come.

The Qaidam Basin in the northwest of our motherland is both a treasure trove rich in mineral resources and a lifeline with a fragile ecosystem. The contest between development and conservation has long played out on the edge of the law and amid the tides of a changing era.

To protect the pristine plateau, legal expert Ye Tang resolutely ventures into this mysterious and treacherous land, where she unexpectedly reunites with Lu Yanchuan, a PhD in chemistry working to overcome technical challenges in lithium salt production.

When faith in the rule of law meets scientific ambition, the two join forces. Using the law as a blade, they sever the chains of profit behind illegal pollution and mining. Drawing on their expertise, they tackle the dilemma of balancing ecological conservation with industrial growth. Together with veteran technicians who have worked in the region for decades and domestic experts at the forefront of science and technology, they overcome technical barriers and drive the green transformation of the lithium salt industry. Amid Qaidam's barren Gobi wasteland, they build a firm ecological security barrier and take the new energy industry to new heights of high-quality development.

This is a stirring anthem of green development for the lands of the northwest, and a brilliant answer to the call for ecological civilization and high-quality development, written by builders of the new era with responsibility and dedication.
