Building Infrastructure in Great Ming: Old Zhu Begs Me to Stop Outworking Everyone

In the Hongwu era of the Ming dynasty, I accidentally transmigrated into the body of the Prince of Yan.

Zhu Di was dumbfounded. He knew he didn't have what it took to pull off an uprising with just eight hundred men and launch the Jingnan Campaign to rebel against his nephew, Zhu Yunwen!

From the start, at the Hall of Fengtian, Zhu Yuanzhang asked him how to govern a country.

To activate the System, Zhu Di said something shocking: "In my humble opinion, governing a country is like roasting a duck!"

"You insolent fool!" The Hongwu Emperor flew into a rage. Beat him with the boards, hard!

That night, Empress Ma wept as she confronted him: "Fourth Brother, have you gone mad?"

But Zhu Di was completely uncharacteristic: "Mother, Father’s policies are utterly foolish!"

"Ming paper currency is doomed to collapse! The garrison farms are doomed to ruin! If we want the dynasty to last for generations, we need to invest in infrastructure!"

Behind the curtain, Zhu Yuanzhang had been eavesdropping. His whole body shook, and he was utterly floored! "Get out! Go to Beiping! I want to see what kind of infrastructure you can build!"

Zhu Di accepted the order, but several years later, when Zhu Yuanzhang made a discreet visit, he was stunned.

Wait, I told you to build infrastructure. How did you get electricity to all of Beiping?
