The Fire of Dawn

Li Yaoming transferred to Bahe Town Central Primary School to start seventh grade. Thanks to sharing a name with basketball star Yao Ming, his appearance at the school assembly where he read his self-criticism for breaking the rules made him the school's latest sensation. During a weekend outing with his classmates, he developed a strange, hard-to-explain feeling for Xiuzhen, a girl in Class One, Grade Two. In his QQ Space diary, he wrote: “She is the only one for me in this life. I will work hard for her and for my basketball dreams.” In the final semester of ninth grade, after striving hard and overcoming one hurdle after another, Li Yaoming finally made it into the county sports school, just as he had hoped. The tiny bud of young love withered in the springtime of their lives.
