The System Is Absurd, and So Am I

As martial arts rose to prominence, the world entered an era of high martial prowess, where might ruled all. Chen Chulan awakened a System. He thought he was about to reach the pinnacle of martial arts, only to discover that his System seemed to have something seriously wrong with it! [The Host has encountered an unparalleled powerhouse. The Host is truly courageous!] Chen Chulan glanced at his utterly feeble best friend, Bai Taixu, standing beside him, and fell into deep thought... Was this System some kind of surrealist? Then the System turned around and rewarded him with Foundation Establishment cultivation and the Eight-Nine Arcane Art. Later, when someone in the gifted class provoked him, he punched the strength-testing machine to pieces, and his teacher’s social media feed exploded. If this immortal path is too crazy for a dog, then I’ll take it! When Chen Chulan was attacking mosquitoes with all his might on the neighborhood lawn to complete a System mission, and passersby took him for an idiot, he finally understood. From then on, the whole high-martial world went completely off the rails. While his classmates painstakingly trained their bodies, he was figuring out how to spin a Merit Golden Lotus. And when an evil outer-world god descended, leaving martial artists around the world in despair, Chen Chulan yawned as a merit wheel a million yards tall appeared behind him. “Relax. I’ll go reason with it first. The physical way!”
