Monsters Run Amok in a Year of Famine, So I Cast a Daily Divination and Keep My Granary Full of Grain and Meat

Lin Changsheng unexpectedly transmigrates to another world, where a harsh winter has struck during a year of famine. He unexpectedly gains the ability to divine one fortune each day. By seeking good fortune and avoiding disaster, he ventures into the mountains and across the rivers to keep his family safe.

[Minor Good Fortune: At the foot of the front slope of Little Green Mountain, a rabbit has frozen to death in the snow. There may be something to gain.]

[Minor Bad Fortune: The Blackstone Pool on Little Green Mountain has frozen over. Break through the ice and there may be an extra reward, but be careful not to fall into the water.]

[Major Bad Fortune: An old wolf has been driven from its pack and come alone to Little Green Mountain. Bring a hunting bow and you might make a fortune, but beware of its attacks.]

Then one day, demons suddenly appear. The villagers want to send Lin Changsheng and his family out to appease the demons by feeding them to the monsters. Only then does Lin Changsheng realize he saved a pack of ungrateful people. He immediately takes his family and leaves Lianshan Village, letting the demons destroy it!

Only after leaving Lianshan Village does Lin Changsheng truly see how terrifying this chaotic age is. Starving people are everywhere, and to protect his family, he has no choice but to climb the mountains and hunt demons.

One day, a shrine to Lin Changsheng is erected in the city. He immediately says, "I'm really not the god in charge of food."

Demons: "Stay away from us!"

Lin Changsheng: "There's no food in a famine, so I have no choice but to eat you!"

Years later, the dynasty falls, and the world enters a dark age. Immortals and Buddhas lord it over the heavens, while demons rise in multitudes on earth. Lin Changsheng cuts down hordes of demons with a single sword stroke, then cleaves open the Heavenly Gate with another.

No food? Then eat demons, monsters, immortals, and Buddhas!
