The Gu Curse

There are only four kinds of gu.

The first is insect gu: birds and beasts, snakes and insects, rats and ants. At the root, they all belong to the same category: insect gu.

The second is dead gu, made from lifeless things. Mountains, rivers, bamboo, stones, plants, trees, flowers, and willows can all be used as gu. These are called dead gu.

The third is witch gu, which originated with the Twelve Ancestral Witches. Put simply, it uses gu arts to temper the body until it becomes impervious to swords and spears. That’s why legend says the bodies of the Twelve Ancestral Witches of antiquity were so powerful that none could match them.

The fourth kind is far more sinister: beauty gu.

A beauty becomes gu, intoxicating the soul and consuming the spirit!
