Mountain Keeper: Blood Oath at the Imperial Tomb

Deep in the Greater Khingan Range lies a century-old blood oath: anyone who sets foot in the Taiqing Imperial Tomb will become a living sacrifice to the mountain guardian. On his first day as the new mountain guardian, college student Liu Tianqing stumbles upon a band of armed, modern-day bandits in a wooden cabin. Their leader, Third Master Cui, presses a Mauser pistol to Liu’s temple and forces him to lead the way to the legendary Taiqing Imperial Tomb, said to hold the secret techniques of the Qing Dynasty’s dragon veins. Even more chilling, these desperate men reveal secrets about his parents’ disappearance twenty years ago. From bloody entrails dug up by a three-fingered mountain demon to a corpse-scented lair where the divine flower of sky burial blooms, Liu Tianqing is forced to navigate between the compass of the tomb-raiding Guanshan Taibao and the bandits’ gun barrels. When his parents’ bones, marked with azure dragon patterns, emerge from beneath the ice, he finally understands his grandfather’s dying words: what the mountain guardian protects isn’t the forest, but the demons lurking in people’s hearts... Northeastern slang and tomb-raiding secrets collide, while strange snow-mountain tales intertwine with battles of human nature. In this deadly forest at minus forty degrees Celsius, the most dangerous thing isn’t a thousand-year-old tomb. It’s making it out alive.
