The Evil-Suppressing Man

Great Master Gongshu Zi, your disciple is the thirty-seventh-generation heir of Que Yi Men. Today, I take the alias “Palm Reader” so the world may learn about Que Yi Men. If anything in this book touches upon a taboo, may all taboos be dispelled. Your disciple performs three prostrations and nine kowtows, then burns three sticks of incense and prays to the spirit of our great master in heaven... The rites are complete. Let the book begin! “Anyone who studies Que Yi Men must renounce their ancestors and have no descendants. They must be prepared to live out their lives in solitude. What’s more, every student must endure at least one of the following in their lifetime: widowhood, spinsterhood, orphanhood, loneliness, or disability. Those who enter our sect must keep kindness in their hearts and never do evil to others, much less use the methods in this book to harm anyone. Otherwise, after death, they will suffer in the boundless purgatory...” These are the ancestral teachings of Que Yi Men. “Those who study Que Yi Men conceal misfortune. A person who conceals misfortune must never marry or have children!”
