At Eighty, I Get a System That Wants Me to Enlist and Earn Merits?

After his soul transmigrated to another world, Zhao Yuan never managed to live a carefree life, not even up to the day he died.

He thought that after eighty years, the moment to say goodbye had finally come.

He'd already made peace with dying. Who could have guessed the System would show up?

[System charged for eighty years. Now activated.]

[Ding! Congratulations, Host. You've experienced a lifetime of birth, aging, sickness, and death, along with life's bitter and sweet moments. Beginner mission complete.]

[Current rewards: Reforged bones, aptitude +7, lifespan +1, comprehension 10.]

[Remember what you boasted as a young man sixty years ago? Sixty years east of the river, sixty years east of the river. Never look down on an old man for being poor.]

[Eighty is the perfect age to strive for success. Host, get up quickly and take another shot at life!]

[Beginner mission issued. When making your way in the world, what's most important? Of course, it's having powerful backing. Find the strongest faction and join it.]

What a load of crap!

I'm already eighty, and you're only just showing up with a comeback System?

Zhao Yuan ranted furiously. It wanted him to find powerful backing, and the strongest backing around had to be the army.

Watch as this eighty-year-old, blade in hand and spear on his shoulder, rediscovers the wild spirit of his youth, marches proudly and boldly, and charges straight into the army!
