The Last Hero: A Genius Player

In the year 20XX, the world fell apart. Not in the sense of the earth cracking open, but in the form of global chaos, environmental decay, and the corruption of human nature. Every nation began waging war, all just to survive. The nations of the world collapsed, yet for reasons no one could explain, the wars ended after only a year. The year after the World War, the World Government was established, uniting a world that had once consisted of more than a hundred countries. No predicted mass slaughter took place, nor did the nuclear war everyone had foretold. The world was truly united without a drop of blood, and every part of it was baffling. On January 1 of the first year of the New Era, the World Government held its first Supreme Council meeting. In attendance were the government’s highest-ranking officials, the heads of each region, and the key figure who had brought about the unification of the world. “Bang!” The sound came as the supreme ruler of the world slammed a proposal down onto the table. The title on the proposal read “Earth Cycle Rebirth System.” After throwing the proposal down in a fury, the Grand Commander, who held supreme authority, looked at the great man standing in the middle of the World Government’s council chamber. His face was unmistakably furious, filled with the humiliation of being cruelly insulted by a trusted friend. Facing the furious Grand Commander and the high officials gathered in this chamber reserved for the highest echelons, the man in sunglasses standing at its center remained composed. He had faced dangers far worse than this, and given his status, he was in no danger of being killed, no matter what happened.
