Spring Robes in Disarray

By a twist of fate, Xie Yulan transmigrates into the body of a maidservant in a wealthy ancient household. She’s thoroughly unhappy with the job: no days off all year, treated like a beast of burden, and denied even the most basic dignity. All Xie Yulan wants is to save up enough money to buy her way out of servitude and enjoy the rest of her life! But can someone explain why Third Master Shi, whom she once rejected, is now clinging to her like a vengeful ghost and refusing to let go? Xie Yulan: I’d rather die than become a concubine! Shi Wenlou: Who said I wanted you as a concubine? You’re the only woman I’ll ever acknowledge as my wife! * Shi Wenlou has no interest in women. Yet countless women are eager to get close to him. Except for that little maid, whose looks aren’t exactly breathtaking but whose backbone is stiffer than anyone else’s. She’s turned him down again and again. Just a little maid, right? He thought he’d forget her as soon as he turned away. Who would’ve thought that the more he held back and restrained himself, the more fiercely he wanted to win her heart?
