She’s the Goddess of Wushan. Why Would You Mess With Her?

[Supernatural Horror Returns + Episodic Stories + Invincible + Female-Centric] “Legend has it that the Mountain Spirit Lady is the Goddess of Mount Wu, one of the Twelve Wunu Deities. She walks among mortals, dispelling the resentment of those who died unjustly...” The world-weary mountain spirit Xie Jiugge: Thanks for asking, but no. I retired from the jianghu years ago. But then my former Wuxi came begging on his knees, staking his life and offering me a handsome new Wuxi who looks like a male model, all in the hope of bringing me out of retirement. The new Wuxi is handsome, sweet-talking, and adorably well-behaved. He’s impossible not to like. Xie Jiugge: Fine. I’ll step in just this once before the world ends. The puppy-like Wuxi escapes the tiger’s den only to stumble into the wolf’s lair, and before long he’s in mortal danger. Xie Jiugge: ...Fine. I’ll save you again, since you tell such good bedtime stories. The puppy-like Wuxi keeps stumbling into one peril after another. Gradually, Xie Jiugge realizes that all those dangers have something to do with her. As a conspiracy dating back a thousand years comes to light, the world begins its countdown to destruction. Xie Jiugge decides to risk her life to restore peace to the world. Her puppy-like Wuxi stands in front of her, sword in hand. “Mountain Spirit Sister, you’ve saved me so many times. This time, no matter what dangers lie ahead, I’ll face them with you.”
