Attack on Titan: The Great Escape

After a comet strikes, only half the moon remains. Earth's gravity goes haywire, the tides run amok, and twenty percent of the land is flooded.

Some people, affected by the comet's radiation, gradually lose their minds as their bodies continue to grow. Chaos breaks out across the world, and they become giants who slowly lose consciousness. The tallest reaches 120 meters.

More than ten thousand people go missing.

Those who are not of our kind can never share our hearts. As the giants grow, humanity subdues them by force and confines them all on the Japanese Peninsula, where they are kept under strict surveillance by the International Alliance.

This became known as the Great Prison Project.
