The Benevolent Female Emperor

The moon shines over the Guanghan Palace in the heavens, while swallows share their tender affections below.

Though small, swallows too have precious feelings.

Du Weizhao was born into a butcher's family and loved dearly by her parents. Her greatest wish was to marry a good man, honor her parents, and live a simple life.

But fate is hard to fathom. Chosen as a companion to a princess, she was brought into the palace, where she heard the emperor tell her, "I am your father!"

No wonder they say that once you enter the palace, your life is no longer your own. Not only must she change her surname and her name, she must change her father, her mother, and even her grandmother!

The emperor doesn't just want to claim her as his daughter, he wants to pass the throne on to her!
