Shattered Moonlight

Wen Ning had spent just one year working herself to the bone in the workplace when she discovered a lump on her chest.

She went to the hospital, where she unexpectedly ran into Lu Weiran, who had spent years studying abroad and was now specializing in breast surgery.

It was an utterly ordinary examination. He fell in love at first sight, while she was mortified.

Wen Ning thought they would never meet again.

Until the next day, when she brought her grandmother to see a doctor and discovered that he was once again the surgeon assigned to them.

Wen Ning felt terribly unlucky. Every time she was at her most embarrassed and awkward, he saw right through her.

Over just five days together, Wen Ning quietly fell for him.

But when she realized the gulf between them was like heaven and earth, she decisively backed away and fled.

She thought their paths would never cross again, but their entanglement was only just beginning.

After each meeting and every act of help, even Wen Ning could not tell whether it was his doing or fate.

It was only when the gentleman who seemed gentle and mature became domineering and obsessive that Wen Ning realized they had been unable to escape ever since their first meeting.

"At worst, we'll just be entangled with each other for the rest of our lives."
