The Sword’s Burial, a Floating Life

This world is divided into the Bright Realm and the Dark Realm. The Bright Realm is divided into the Mortal Realm and the Cultivation Realm. In the Mortal Realm, might makes right. People train in martial arts to strengthen their bodies and open the three meridians, living for barely more than a hundred years. In the Cultivation Realm, spiritual power is paramount. One must bond with a spirit insect of heaven and earth to absorb spiritual energy and cross the threshold of cultivation, awakening the seven chakras. Spirit insects of heaven and earth differ not only in their attributes, but also in their six ranks: Dull, Cute, Intelligent, Wise, Profound, and Sacred. The Cultivation Realm also has six paths of practice: swordsmanship, talismans, artifacts, alchemy, formations, and spellcraft. Few know of the Dark Realm, yet it is constantly influencing everything in the Bright Realm, especially the Cultivation Realm. Three hundred years ago, the Qingyun Sword Sect, a sword cultivation sect in Kunlun Ruins of the Cultivation Realm, was utterly destroyed and swiftly fell into ruin. No one knew why. Three hundred years later, Long Yuan, a corpse collector from the Mortal Realm, enters the Cultivation Realm dressed in black, a three-inch black knife hanging at his waist and a massive black coffin on his back. He becomes the leader of the Qingyun Sword Sect, and as he works to revive the sect, he gradually uncovers secrets that have shrouded the Cultivation Realm for tens of thousands of years.
