Desire

When Jiang Sui was eight, her father died despite emergency treatment, and her mother took her own life. The Jiang family fell apart, and Jiang Sui, left with no one to rely on, was taken in by her mother's best friend. At his sister's request, Ren Xigu came to collect the daughter of an old friend. Jiang Sui cowered in the corner, frightened. Ren Xigu reached out and gathered her into his arms. “Don't be afraid. I'll take you with me.” He protected her every step of the way. He was her friend, her teacher, her uncle, and the person she loved most. But her feelings had to remain unspoken. She was sent abroad, exiled for three years. When she finally returned, she accidentally got involved with his best friend. “Jiang Sui, you call Ren Xigu Uncle. I'm your uncle's friend, so why are you calling me Big Brother Lu?” Step by step, she finally understood who was truly meant for her. But on the day she and Lu Jinbai announced their relationship, Ren Xigu came to find her, his eyes bloodshot. “Suisui, come to me. I'll take you with me.” Some people are best never met, because then you can never fall in love with them. Some people, once missed, are gone for good.
