Under the Warm Spring Tents

Chunxia was a maid born into the household. She followed her young mistress to seek refuge at the Marquis’s estate. Her mistress wanted to marry Gu Yunchen, the promising third young master of the marquis’s household, but she had already lost her virginity, so she forced Chunxia to take her place on their wedding night. After their night together, Chunxia thought they would never cross paths again. But when they met just once more, she caught Gu Yunchen’s eye. She did everything she could to avoid him, but he kept approaching her, testing her again and again. When she tried to escape the marquis’s estate, he caught her and punished her mercilessly. And when her mistress tried to sell her off, he was far away. He rushed back in a frenzy, traveling day and night to save her. Later, beneath the warm bed curtains, Gu Yunchen held the soft, delicate maid in his arms, his eyes red as he pleaded again and again: “Little Chunxia, don’t leave me.”
