A Scumbag Wants to Inherit Her Fortune? The Commandery Princess Slaughters the General's Household

Her father and brothers died in battle, and the empress herself issued an edict forcing Shen Li to marry before her mourning period was over. On her wedding day, a scumbag, his legal wife, and their two children tried to guilt-trip her into becoming a concubine. The groom sneered, “Shen Li, do you still think you’re the Junzhu of the Marquis of Dingbei? Now that your father and brothers are dead, you’re an orphan. A delicate flower like you needs a great tree like me to survive.” Shen Li went straight for a kick that would end his family line. “You think you can talk to me like that?” Her mother-in-law scolded her. “Shen, marrying my son is your good fortune. Don’t be so ungrateful.” Shen Li tossed down the imperial decree annulling the engagement. “What are you waiting for? Go complain to the emperor!” Her sister-in-law greedily declared, “Those ten miles of wedding gifts have arrived at my house, so they’re mine now.” Shen Li drew her soft sword and sliced the ornaments right off her sister-in-law’s head. “Even a dog I raise knows to protect its owner. You’re living off my money and still dare to bark at me?” The Li family’s legal wife said, “I joined the family before you, so you should call me older sister and help me raise my children.” Shen Li flung a pile of death-exemption tokens onto the floor. “If you don’t pull out the weeds by their roots, they’ll grow back when the spring breeze blows. Today, I’ll wipe out the entire Li family!” A certain money-gobbling prince burst through the door. “I’m here to confiscate the family’s property by imperial order. I’ll go first!”
