Guide to the Yellow Springs

【Fantasy and xianxia, strange tales, past and present lives】 On the border between the human world and the underworld, there is more than just the Bridge of Helplessness and Lady Meng. There is also me, the first guardian on the road to the Yellow Springs. My name is Quan Yin. I know not when I was born, nor where my journey ends. I only guard the boundary between yin and yang, abiding forever in the fleeting moment between life and death. I hold two lamps in my hands: one lights the soul’s road west, and the other helps it hear the sounds of home. Only when both lamps have gone out can the souls of the dead enter the Bridge of Helplessness and begin the cycle of reincarnation. As people say, when a person dies, their light goes out. For tens of thousands of years, I have walked beside the Yellow Springs, making a road with my heart and guiding souls with my lamps. I have welcomed and sent off countless spirits, untangled the grudges of the mortal world, and resolved the passions and feuds of the three realms. I seek neither enlightenment nor reincarnation, only the truth... But though I can ferry others, I cannot save myself. Who will dispel the karmic tangle of love from my past life?
