Mo Xiaoke's Life as a Medical Companion

[Heartwarming and healing, rekindled love, close to real life, niche professions, episodic stories, ensemble cast]

Have you ever gone to the hospital alone?

They say everyone who goes to the hospital alone has a story to tell.

No one knows that better than Mo Xiaoke, a hospital companion.

For instance, there’s the girl neglected by her parents who, just to get a little of what she thinks is “love,” ends up on the operating table for an abortion again and again.

Or the young woman who lost her husband unexpectedly just six months into their marriage, then discovered she was pregnant before she even had time to grieve.

Or the stern, stubborn father who has grown distant from his own daughter, but now suffers from a serious illness and urgently needs a liver transplant.

And then there’s the middle-aged woman who endured ten years of domestic abuse, finally found happiness in a new marriage, only to be plunged into despair by a cesarean-scar pregnancy...

Some of them struggle between love and reality, while others would rather give up their lives for love.

And some spend their whole lives trying to escape the shadow of their family of origin.

Mo Xiaoke, a hospital companion, gradually becomes a confidante, bodyguard, nurse, and counselor.

She thinks she can do it all.

But can someone tell her what to do when her ex-boyfriend has depression, refuses to talk about it, and insists on avoiding treatment?
