Snow’s Parting Song

A tempestuous romance is more than a woman of Shenghua should have to bear. The loving marriage in her dreams vanishes upon waking, nothing but flowers reflected in a mirror and the moon’s reflection on water. She runs, he pursues. They love and hurt each other, neither willing to let the other go. If you could start over, would you still choose to love me? “If I had to choose between you and the empire, I would leave it all behind and live in seclusion with you.” One kiss, for a lifetime.
