The Carefree Bandit: The Empress Begs Me to Come Out of Hiding

Han Fei transmigrates and becomes a bandit. He only wanted to be a carefree mountain chieftain, but somehow ends up becoming the most ruthless bandit around. Years later, someone curses him: "Han Fei, you're nothing but a bandit, and you even dared to abduct the empress and bring her up the mountain as your hostage bride. How audacious!"

The empress: "I came here of my own free will. If you dare keep spreading such nonsense and stop me from becoming his hostage bride, I'll wipe out your entire clan!"

"What? What has he done to deserve the honored empress offering herself to him?"

"Chieftain, you have the final say over the whole realm. If you become its supreme ruler, the emperors of every kingdom will surely proclaim you. You could found a vast empire without precedent and build an achievement that will endure for generations."

"Nonsense. Don't say such treasonous things again. I only want to be a carefree, ruthless bandit. Who's keeping me company tonight?"

"The empress of Great Qian has been waiting for three months. How about bringing her up the mountain tonight?"

"All right, her it is."

"By the way, Chieftain, the emperor of Zhao called you a low-class bandit and had his daughter locked up, so the princess couldn't come up the mountain to massage your feet."

"He's right that I'm a bandit, but he shouldn't be insulting me. Send him off to grow sweet potatoes, and give Zhao a new emperor."

"Yes, sir!"

Standing atop Mount Zhenlong, Han Fei gazes down at the world and sighs. Transmigration really is a technical business.
