The Cold Current in the Clouds

She was once a woman of pure heart, devoted to the martial path and untouched by karma. Yet her love was unfinished, and love at first sight took hold. She was once a cool, aloof older beauty, cold and silent. But someone forced his way into her empty heart, making her a slave to love. She was once a pure and kind spirit of the mountains, a gentle, refined beauty. She kept her waist-length hair for one man, and in the end, she let him gather it into a bun. She was once an immortal banished to a paradise beyond the world, standing before the Watercloud Ravine's Dust-Cleansing Pillar. Clad in white as bright as snow, she stood with an umbrella in hand. A strip of white silk covered her eyes so she would not look upon the mortal world or become entangled in karma. But when the silk was removed and she saw the man before her, she became entangled in karma, and could only follow him away.
