The Maid's Alluring Charm

A clear-headed maidservant VS an aloof young master Hua Tang always followed the rules. When the madam took a liking to her, she assigned her as a junior concubine to the young master, who kept his distance from women. But the young master, devoted to the battlefield, rejected her to her face: “I’m not interested.” Then came the face-slapping all too soon: someone drugged the young master, and he took Hua Tang’s body. With no other choice, he agreed to take her as a junior concubine. Hua Tang didn’t want to share a man or get caught up in the schemes of a grand household. She was also afraid of dying. So she resolved not to compete for his favor, fall in love with her master, or let herself be troubled by romance. She would focus on saving money to buy a shop and acquire a farm, climb to the top of life, and, once age and fading beauty gave her an excuse, leave the household and enjoy her retirement. But the young master came to his senses and chased her out of the residence. Pinning her against the chicken coop door, he demanded, “You flirted with me, and now you think you can run?”
