Shedding Mortality, Ascending to Immortality

This world is divided into the Four Seas and Eight Wastelands, one among countless planes. The sky is round and the earth square, and the land stretches far and wide. In ancient times, cultivators opened the path to immortality to strengthen humanity, giving all living beings the power to protect themselves against natural and man-made disasters. Those with exceptional talent and abundant blessings could shed their mortal nature, ascend to immortality, transcend their plane, and claim an immortal's place. But tens of thousands of years later, in an age when ascending to immortality had become nothing more than a legend, evil cultivators from beyond the plane invaded, and war raged across the Eight Wastelands and Four Seas. Humanity united and, after paying a terrible price, won the great war. The Great Wilderness then enjoyed thousands of years of peace, until evil forces began to rise again from the ashes. A young man from a mountain village suffers a sudden calamity and loses the family members he depended on. He joins a cultivation sect and embarks on the path to immortality. At first, all he wants is revenge, but fate brings him countless opportunities and fortunes. As his cultivation grows stronger, his character also changes, little by little... Ordinary people ask only for long life, good health, freedom from disaster, and a house full of children and grandchildren. With that, they can leave this world without regrets. I seek the power to overturn the seas and heavens. I seek the truth and the Way, to accomplish what my predecessors could not, shed my mortal nature, and ascend to immortality!
