Married Bliss, Now Mr. Huo Comes Home Every Day

Wen Shuyi is the overlooked eldest daughter of the Wen family in Nancheng, while Huo Jinxing is the future heir apparent of the Huo family.

They agreed to a two-year marriage of convenience, promising to treat each other with respect and get what they needed from the arrangement.

After the wedding, whenever their intimacy threatened to turn into something more, Wen Shuyi would struggle to keep her head clear. “Huo Jinxing, this is just a marriage alliance. Don’t fall for me.”

The man’s cool eyes showed no emotion. “Of course.”

The two-year term was almost up before she knew it. Wen Shuyi left a divorce agreement behind and walked away without making a scene.

Everyone celebrated Huo Jinxing’s return to bachelorhood. His first love happened to come back from abroad, and people eagerly offered advice, waiting for the two of them to get back together.

But after the divorce, the man was rarely seen in public.

One day, in a torrential downpour, a reporter caught him picking a woman up from work.

The woman took two steps back, exasperated. “Mr. Huo, you know a proper ex-husband should act like he’s dead, right?”

Far from getting angry, the man pulled her into his arms with gentle insistence. Beneath the tilted umbrella, he lowered his eyes and pleaded, “Mrs. Huo, can I have a kiss?”
